SASW PROGRAM

The SASW program will work on two levels:

  • Reimbursement of Showground rental (and other associated eligible expenses) paid by eligible travelling Show businesses at eligible Ag Shows held between 1 July 2021 to 31 May 2022 and
  • Showground rental relief payments for upcoming Ag Shows from 1 June 2022 – 30 June 2023.

 

As a Show Society that successfully held an Ag Show between 1 July 2021 and 31 May 2022, we believe some Showmen, women and Show businesses who attended your Show may be eligible to apply for their Showground Rental to be reimbursed.

To apply for Showground Rental – Reimbursement, please follow the below steps:

  • Collect FORM 8 – Eligibility Check from Showbag businesses, amusements, games and show food operators that applied and paid rental for ground space directly with the Show Society (not Showmen and Women operating within the Showmen’s Guild, Defined Amusement Area)
  • Collate the information from the FORM 8’s received and summarise the information on FORM 6
  • Submit FORM 6 to the Victorian Showmen’s Guild via SASWProgram@gmail.com or PO Box 36 ASCOT VALE VIC 3032
  • The Victorian Showmens’ Guild will review the application and make payment to the Ag Show Society
  • The Ag Show Society then delivers the refund to the eligible Showmen and women
  • Once the refunds have been delivered, the Ag Show Society complete FORM 7 as a declaration that the payments have been made

 

It is important to note that the Show Society does not need to apply for Showmen and women who operated in the Showmen’s Guild area. The Showmen’s Guild will apply for these Showmen and women and reimburse their members directly.

The Show Society ONLY applies for Showmen and women and Show business that applied for space directly with the Show Society and operated outside the Defined Amusement Area.

These operators must demonstrate their eligibility by completing FORM 8.

Eligibility is limited to travelling Showmen and women who operate Showbag businesses, amusements, games and show food.

Once FORM 6 has been submitted to the Victorian Showmen’s Guild, the Supporting Agricultural Showmen and Women – Showground Rental Relief Program payments will be made to the Ag Show Societies, who will then deliver refunds to these Showmen and women.
